Martin registered his business, D 5 Manufacturing Co., in 1969 after a number of years working in house garages making cast aluminum and bronze motorcycle accessories such as finned panhead covers, handlebar risers and finned aluminum covers for points and primary.

Renting industrial space and buying metal working machinery increased the number of products to include exhaust pipes, handlebars, springer frontends and a line of custom frames known as Martin Frames.

As the business grew, an accessory and parts store, Cyle Stuff was opened that soon evolved into an all-encompassing motorcycle shop offering complete builds and one of a kind custom parts.

Today D 5 Manufacturing Co. flourishes in the town of Cobourg, located east of Toronto, still producing a wide range of custom frames for many makes and models, one of a kind builds and restoring oldies.
